Prithvi Mudra

The Prithvi mudra is done with both hands by touching the tips of the ring finger and thumb gently.

The practicing of Prithvi mudra removes fatigue and strengthens the weak organs. The body is energized, the mood is elevated and the balance of the agni and prithvi tatvas is restored. Other benefits are improvement in memory, deeper peace, better overall health, inner stability, self-assurance and increased sense of smell.

The Prithvi mudra is recommended for persons who have deficiency of minerals and vitamins which causes weakness in the body. It eliminates the energy deficiency because it activates the root chakra.

Effects of Prithvi mudra are best experienced if practiced with both hands for 45 minutes every day. This 45 minutes can be practiced in two or three parts at most during the day.

Kubera Mudra for manifesting your desires

So, let's get started.

A mudra is a particular hand position producing specific energetic results. There are hundreds of mudras, but the mudra with the most immediate results is the Kubera mudra. Kubera is the God of wealth, and this mudra is called after him because it's used for fulfillment of desires and goals.

You form this mudra by joining your thumb, index finger, and middle finger together, and placing the other two fingers in the middle of your palm. Do this with both hands. There shouldn't be any strain in the palms while doing it.

It doesn't matter how long you do it, but with how much intensity. You just hold your intention-wish-desire-goal as if it's already manifested, and make the Kubera mudra to reinforce the intent at the same time.

If you want to experience how powerful this mudra is, next time when you are looking for a free parking space hold the intention in your consciousness, and form the Kubera mudra. It works every time for me. It's amazing! And I live in a city where finding a free parking space is a SF movie.

You can also use it, if you are looking for a particular book in a bookshop, a specific t-shirt, some helpful information, and many other things.

If you find yourself excited with the power of this mudra, you can find more information about this and many other mudras in Mudras: Yoga in Your Hands by Gertrud Hirschi. The author is really an expert on mudras. Two other excellent resources for mudras are Healing Mudras and Power Mudras by Sabrina Mesko.

Have fun with the Kubera mudra!
